My husband and I are spending our first Christmas as a married couple on vacation for our honeymoon. I hope this starts a tradition of vacations that are all about us!

My husband and I are starting our own traditions by spending our first Christmas decorating our new house and baking sweet gifts for friends.

We are starting a tradition by going to Nashville this weekend to visit the Opryland Hotel and enjoy the lights there. I hope we will be able to go away somewhere every Christmas season.

My husband I plan on taking a long drive around our town to check out all of the Christmas lights--we're envisioning sharing the magic with our children someday!

We're forgoing gifts & are going to gather together a bunch of supplies to donate to the local animal shelter - blankets, toys, cleaning supplies, etc. - as our newlywed Christmas gift to help the shelter animals! We're hoping to make this a yearly tradition!

This christmas is our first christmas in our first place together and we got our first tree and my 1st real tree ever! So our tradition is having a real tree which is something I've never had :)

This christmas my honey and I are getting our first ornament to represent this stage in our lives (an engagement) and are starting the tradition of having a new meaningful ornamnent for each year we're together from this point.

This is also our first Christmas as a married couple. Although it is a happy time, I will be traveling to Southern California to be with my Grandpa and the rest of my family, and Husband will stay in Northern California to celebrate with his family. We do have a tree, and even though we won't be together on Christmas day, it would be nice to have this special momento.
AND use the ornament to serve as motivation NOT to carry on this particular tradition :)

We'll be gone from our new home, visiting our families for Christmas, as will most of our friends,so we're going to have "family dinner" and a small gift exchange with all of our closest couple friends at a nice restaurant before we all scatter.

Our tradition is going to be waking up Christmas day and opening out stockings together. The night before we are with his family and that day we are with mine, so that little breakfast time with our stockings will be nice "us" time.

We are starting a tradition of going to church together on Christmas eve.

I am positively GIDDY about our first Christmas together. Just last night we *finally* got some alone time and put up our Christmas tree and decorated our little apartment. It was so romantic, and I look forward to even more memories like that as the holidays approach!

What a great ornament! We've been living together for 5 christmas' and haven't really developed a tradition. As our first christmas married, we're actually waking up in our own home. Maybe that will be our thing. Christmas morning nooky. haha

We are going to start our celebrations on Xmas eve with a nice dinner and X-mas eve Mass.

My mom's coffee cake. She has made for every Christmas morning for as long as I can remember. With this being our first Christmas, I am going to carry the torch and start the same tradition.

My hubby and I are spending our first Christmas with our families! This little ornament would be perfect for us because we had a little read car on our wedding day!

This year we decided that our tradition would be drinking champagne & decorating the tree the day after Thanksgiving while we watch the Grinch... it was perfect :P

When my hubby and I were dating, we started decorating his Christmas tree while we watched the movie Elf and ate pizza! Now we have done it for 3 years!

Our tradition is as our primary "gift to ourselves" to do a holiday night out on the town- we have gone to the Nutcracker, to The Christmas Carol, and the holiday symphany- this year is our first Christmas as a married couple and we adding another tradition- to bake and decorate cookies together with holiday music in the background.

Great festive giveaway!

I am emigrating over the the US from the UK to be with my American fiance so I will be bringing a few UK traditions with me. One will be Christmas cake which is a rich fruit cake infused with brandy, decorated with marzipan and royal icing.

We have a couple new :-D! We made a few ornaments for our tree, as it was looking a bit "bare", and it's been so much fun (and a bit messy!) that it'll become a tradition for sure. I also made eggnog for the first time this year as it cannot be purchased here in Italy- there's a lot of work involved, but we both love it so much I know I'll be making it every year!

I was proposed to on a hike in the Niagara escarpement on a snowy day, that tradition of a hike will be continued for sure, it was beautiful

My husband and I are spending our first Christmas day as husband and wife with BOTH our parents at a big family dinner. We're all family now, so there's no sense in splitting up the celebrations!

This Christmas starts many years of me asking for a "FREE SICK DAY" on my Christmas list. My new hubby has agreed to make this IOU so if there's a rainy day or just a day that we wake up and would rather watch movies in bed instead of going to work, I can turn in my IOU and get him all to myself. To me, it is one of the most special gifts...uninterrupted time with the man I love.

My new husband and I are buying an ornament each year for Christmas to symbolize something that's important to us. So much better than buying ball ornaments in mass to decorate our new tree! We've only been married 3 weeks : )

We have a Christmas tradition of exchanging our gifts a few days before Christmas, before we spend the holidays with relatives. It's fun to have a special time just for the two of us!

The best man in our wedding runs a Christmas tree stand - we'll get a tree from him & then spend a Friday evening decorating. Looking forward to a new tradition.

Justin and I wake up early and finish packing up our gifts. We eat a pretty big breakfast - complete with some Christmas cookies. Then we head over for some late lunch/early dinner at his mom's house soon to be followed for a late dinner/midnight snack at my aunts house. After all those festivities, we head back to our house to open the presents before the morning comes. Merry Christmas... to you....!
