Jeannie and Rob

My husband and I had such a nice time in Nashville. The city was full of energy (it was Halloween, so that helped), and or course music! Jeannie and Rob's wedding was lovely - they could not have asked for better weather. It really reminded me of my wedding day. They had so many pictures, it was hard to pick my favorites. I of course loved their sneak peek from their photographers, Vision Photography. Jeannie and Rob's plum and gold color scheme seemed perfect for the gorgeous fall day.

The newlyweds! This is my favorite of the day!
Amazing flowers!
The maid of honor - Amanda you looked gorgeous!
Friends and sisters - such a chic bridal party. Tami, you look good as a bridesmaid, but you are going to make a beautiful bride!

Stayed tuned for Monogram Friday.

Married!

I cannot believe Jessica is married. How time flies. It seems like I just made her monogram yesterday. Check out these lovely pictures by Nicole Green.

Fall is Here!

Fall has officially arrived on the calendar, but the mercury definitely does not reflect that here in Ohio yet! I love fall - I always say it is my husband's and my season (since our anniversary is in October). I love bookmark favors, and these are perfect for the autumn. Here is a sneak peak of Tami's invitations for her Floridian butterfly garden autumnal wedding! More pictures to come...

A Black and White Shower

I recently worked with Adrienne on personalized notecards for a bride-to-be's shower gift. Here are a few pictures from the event. How cute are the cupcakes and centerpieces? Thank you for sharing Adrienne.

Newlyweds!

I cannot believe it has been two months since Emily and Tony's wedding! It seems only yesterday I put together this inspiration board for them. It was a wonderful night, and my husband and I enjoyed our first big date night since the arrival of Lucky Baby. I recently received an email from Emily sharing some of her pictures! Here are a few details, including their invitations.

Congratulations Anne and Adam

Lucky Designs had the pleasure of working with Anne and Adam last fall. Their autumnal wedding invitations turned out lovely - using chocolate brown gatefolds, burnt orange satin ribbon and Swarovski crystals. Anne was nice enough to share some pictures from their big day. We wish them all the best!

Krista and Dave

Congratulations to Krista and Dave on their February 8th wedding. Krista and Dave were married at the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal - one of my favorite locations in Cincinnati. I am biased, of course, since my own wedding was there. I love sharing photographs of our happily married customers.

Save the Date for Fall

A sneak preview of Tami's wedding Save the Date custom postcard. (The back is complete with a website, and information for her guests.)

A Pottery Barn Wedding

I was browsing Pottery Barn's website and current sale (now that I have a new house to decorate)! There are so many options that would be adorable to include in a wedding. I love the monogrammed cork candles for a vineyard event, or the bright yellow vases for a spring wedding. The apple/tree centerpieces seem perfect for my friend Emily, who is focusing on nature (particularly plants and ferns) as the theme of her wedding.

Personal Stationery

I truly believe that my college roommate, Amanda, should be a party/wedding planner. She is a hostess that is always thinking of her guests, friends, and family in particular. Amanda has been very supportive of Lucky Designs! I have loved working on stationery for her. I wanted to share a few gifts we recently collaborated on. A set of personalized notecards for her mother, a flight attendant, and recipe cards for her grandmother. I think they turned out well!

{P.S. Check out Amanda's Body Shop - there are lots of cute gift ideas for bridesmaids or Valentine's Day!}

Monogram Friday

I found this lovely wedding via the Bride Board. I love the bride's gorgeous dress and the attention to detail! A bonus - it is in one of my favorite colors, green.

I hope you all have a great weekend. I am adding a cheerful standard monogram this week.

Congratulations Tami and Josh!

Today's autumnal inspiration is for one of my best friend's in Florida, Tami and her fiance, Josh. They are planning a November wedding with browns and oranges. This combination is such a fall classic. It can be elegant and rustic all at the same time. I am not sure which direction Tami will take her details, but I know it will be beautiful.

Save the Date

As previously mentioned, Emily and Tony are getting married in the spring. They chose one of my favorite color combinations - green and brown. Emily and I just wrapped up all her save the dates, and they are ready to go out (with a little help from Martha Stewart with a wrap around label). Here are the magnets and notecards that are being sent to their guests.

Below, is a beautiful brown and green wedding from Cynthia Martyn's Events. Although it is a Novemeber wedding, there are so many elements that Emily could use as inspiration. See more here.

Green and Gold

Jeannie and I have been swapping emails back and forth with ideas for her wedding. I love being a part of her brainstorming. First I heard blue and gold, but now she is leaning more towards green and gold (with an autumn feel). I started the green trend with a monogram for the newly engaged couple on Friday, and now here is a board with a few decor/floral/attire ideas. I added a touch of brown/bronze too because I just love green and brown together.

Monogram Friday for Jeannie

As I stated a few weeks ago, I am very excited about the wedding of one of my best friend's Jeannie and her fiance, Rob. Jeannie and I have already talked a little about her wedding stationary, and I have been thinking of how I would describe her style. Although Jeannie is highly creative and outgoing, I think on her wedding day, she will be classic and timeless - and of course gorgeous! Jean and Rob may not even choose to have a monogram, but just in case...I want them to know I am already thinking of their special day! Have a great weekend - I will update the website with all new standard monograms this weekend.

Congrats Jeannie and Rob!

I want to congratulate one of my best friends, Jeannie, and now her fiance Rob! I have been hearing the secret proposal plans for weeks now, through my friends in Florida. Jeannie is getting ordained this weekend, but Rob came down early to surprise Jeannie with a romantic proposal on the beach. I got a phone call from Jeannie, and she has never sounded more excited! I am so happy for them.

I, of course, already have ideas in mind for their wedding!! I love the idea of aqua and champagne for a Florida wedding...

Green and Brown Inspiration

As I mentioned yesterday, my husband's friends set a date for their wedding - May 31st. The bride has already asked for my help on her save the dates, invitations, and more. The wheels are turning. She mentioned that she loved the color combination of green and brown. There have been many beautiful weddings that would easily inspire a bride to pick this palette. Here are just a few ideas I put together for Emily and Tony. Congrats!

Congrats Tony and Emily!

This past weekend, my husband's good friends got engaged. We are very excited for them! Emily and Tony have great style, which is apparent from their home decor. When my husband told me of their engagement, the wheels started turning. I picture a modern, bold, colorful wedding for Tony and Emily. I have put together some ideas that made me think of them....

Of course there must be martinis (Brides)! I love the idea of candy sushi - a new twist on the candy bar trend (The Wedding Planner's Blog). Beautiful chandelier earrings are a must (Knottie Springchic). A gorgeous cake and bright modern table settings round out the ideas.

In addition to design and shopping blogs, I also love to browse photographer's blogs. Kenny Pang caught my eye today. I think Emily will be a lovely bride and stop traffic as well!!

Finally great lighting...

Unique Colors

My good friend Tami, who is getting married next year, started me on a kick of storyboards. She presented the unique idea of green and orange. (I have also put together ideas for red and orange, pink and green, and lastly black and white.) On a shopping spree to TJ Maxx yesterday, I saw a cute empire waisted, retro top. It was orange, purple, and green. This very unusual color combination caught my attention. (Of course, purple and orange are also appealing since they are the colors of the Phoenix Suns!) So here are some modern, contemporary ideas for orange and purple weddings!

Top: I love this vintage wallpaper - great patterns - fun, vibrant colors. It would look great as an accent wall or a one square underneath an open frame as art work. Next, a beautiful purple bouquet. I think it looks stunning against this simple, classic dress. On the far right, Paper Source Camden Fair Flowers on Poppy paper. Bottom: 2 eye-catching arrangements from The Knot. A wonderful, bold statement perhaps for a New York loft setting... Finally, a orange lamp from Lamps Plus . Lighting can create an intimate feel for your guests.
