The Big Red Machine

Last night my husband, my in-laws, and I witnessed the debut of Homer Bailey with the Cincinnati Reds. He was named The National High School Player of the Year by USA Today, Baseball America, Louisville Slugger and the National High School Coaches' Association. He allowed five hits, walked four (one intentional) and struck out three against the Cleveland Indians. The Reds have not been the best ballclub in the last few years, but this 21-year-old pitcher brings some hope to the Queen City.
